Lake Loons

Join Park Ranger Earl Weaver on a boat ride in search of the loons frequenting Lake James during  winter months.  Discuss their survival during winter migration and how the resources at Lake James help them through the winter.  There is limited space and you MUST be registered to participate!  Please call the park office at (828) 652-5047 for program registration, no later than noon on January 15th.  Meet there at 11:00 a.m., free.  Lake James State Park is located in Marion.  For more information, call 828-652-5047.
