Appalachian Author's Fair

A gathering of authors living in or writing about the Appalachian mountain region. Book topics range from local history, Civil War and regional culture to fiction, outdoors/nature, poetry, fantasy, and more.  Scheduled authors include Julia Nunnally Duncan, Celia Miles, Nancy Dillingham, Tim Pegram, Dale Neal & many more.  At 11:00 a.m. Randell Jones, a 2006 winner of the Willie Parker Peace Award, and author/storyteller, presents, "In the Footsteps of Daniel Boone" followed by Julia Nunnally Duncan's 1:00 p.m. reading from her book, "When Day is Done" a fictional work based on the small town of Marion.  No admission, 12-3:00pm; Old Fort Train Station and Museum, Old Fort.
